A collection of the week’s moments that made me say “WTF.”
  • I go for a PD and come back to find out that some kid had gone into my desk, stolen my trail mix, and thrown it all over the room.
     
  • I am the new chair/head/liaison of the SPED department at my school. Pretty sure by default, no one wants to do it. It’s another one of those how-am-I-qualified-to-do-this moments for me though. Oh well. That is life in public schools I guess.
     
  • “How do you average again? Usually my grades are subjective.”—a teacher

  • An apparently stable girl starts bawling in the middle of class and won’t say why to anyone. I am stumped, and I’m hoping that everything is ok.
